Dear Upcoming Third Grader,
I am so excited that you will be in my class for the 2012-2013 school year! I am looking forward to teaching you and also learning from you.
We are going to have a fun, but very busy school year. Third grade is an exciting year full of new experiences and responsibilities.
I hope you will be at Meet Your Teacher Day on Thursday, August 2nd from 1:00-3:00 PM. I am eager to meet you and your family. Your first day of third grade will be Friday, August 3rd.

Daily Information:
Homework: Your child will have homework each night Mon.-Thurs. This is usually a spelling assignment, AR reading, and studying for upcoming quizzes/ tests if necessary. Please assist your child with this if needed and check to make sure it is complete and placed back in your child’s binder to return to school the next day. Any incomplete homework will be done at recess the next day.
Agenda: Homework and any other important information is written in agendas each night. After you have checked to make sure your child’s homework is complete, please initial in the appropriate box in the agenda. Your child will miss part of recess if the agenda is not signed.
