August Newsletter: I am so excited about this school year!I look forward to getting to know your child, as well as you.The best educational experience is one that is based on teamwork. When both teachers and parents work together for the welfare of the child, the end result is a positive one.My goal this year is to challenge your child in a way that brings learning to life and continues to prepare them for future education. This isn’t always easy for any of the people involved, but being successful at anything takes hard work and dedication.I thank you for your support and help!
Below you will find some important information for the beginning of the year:
Agendas go home nightly. Please check that your child has completed their homework and sign. Homework is given for Monday through Thursday nights. Spelling and vocabulary tests are on Friday. A signature indicates that you have seen that their homework has been completed.
Purple communication folders go home every Tuesday. Sign the dated form in the left inside pocket and return to school. You will also find any test grade lower than 70% in this location that must be signed as well. This is fifth grade policy. Please keep all papers EXCEPT those that indicate to sign and return.
Snacks will be sold at recess. This should begin soon. The snacks range from .50 cents to $1.00. You may also send in a snack for them to have at recess or snack time.
PE is every Thursday. Please wear appropriate shoes.
Students will be given a list of spelling words on Friday for the following week.
